What type of food do you eat while gaming?

First Post
My gaming group was talking about this last night, we're getting kinda tired of pizza all the time(although at 5.75 + tax per large pie monday nights, you can't beat that price), along with the requisite chips, pretzels, soda, and popcorn(try pretzels and/or popcorn sprinkled on top of a piece of plain pizza. It's breathtaking.)

What do you guys eat while gaming?

In olden tymes, we used to get away with Doritos Cool Ranch (TM) and 2-litre bottles of Coke (TM).

But being that my constitution is no longer of dwarven prowess, I stick mainly to water and Chex Mix. My group does go in for the occasional pizza or we usual trek out to the local strip mall for chicken or Chinese food.

I might try to convince my group to go for chinese next time(assuming we're not in the mood for a pizza with some popcorn sprinkled on top. And I mean the popcorn you buy prepopped, like Bachmann's, not the microwavable kind.), or maybe we'll game on a Friday, and get our buddy(who works in the Route 18 Flea Market) to bring us some of Anthony's Vietnamese food(gotta love those Spring Rolls baby.:D :D :D )

My wife in an incredible cook, so she usually cooks up a bunch of Pampered Chef recipes.

Just ask the guests at any of my Story Hours. :)

What is Pampered Chef? Why, it's the kitchen store that comes to your door!

Oh, and we have a mini fridge in the game room, so there is a constant supply of soda (mostly Coke).

Finally, we recently added a microwave to the game room, for the occasional bag of popcorn.

WE usually stock up before all the players get there(when we game at my buddies house, as opposed to the college library. If it's at the library, then we go out to eat before the session, since bringing food would be pushing the boundaries at the library). WE run and get 3 or 4 pizzas(5.75 + tax for each one, comes out to 6.10 per pie), a big bag of premade buttered popcorn, a bag of pretzels(the minis), a bag of Nacho Doritos, a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos, and 2 bags of chips, one Salt and Vinegar, one Regular. Plus at least 3 bottles of soda.

We game in my flat, but with the exception of an occasional McDonald's take-out bag brought by a guy coming straight from work, we eat before we start gaming (at 19:00). During a game I usually stick to some pieces of store-bought cake and Diet Coke or Ice Tea, while others eat chips, crackers or similar food.

Urk. Now you've made me feel like a health nut.

We usually snack on fresh fruit (grapes are a favourite). Sometimes this is supplemented with rolls or sandwiches, nuts and occasionally a packet of chips or some biscuits.

To drink, we usually go for a selection of fruit juices, and perhaps a cup of tea or coffee to perk people up if the hour gets late. I can't remember the last time anyone brought coke or some other soda drink to a game.

Well, after much trial and error, my group has drug my weaknesses out of me, and they tend to show up at the table at every session:

Twislers

and

Chips-and-salsa

(Not at the same time, however.)
