I put undecided but it's really more a case of "take what I want and leave the rest."

And from what I have seen from the winter fantasy things, there is a lot of things that need left. The whole DR thing made me say WTF! I not only don't have a problem with the way it works now, I can't rightly recall anyone even complaining about the way it works now. This make me worry that many of the changes in the book may be the authors rebuilding things to their own vision vice doing things that need to be done.

But Psion.....what about all those times when you put skeletons up against Titans? Those Titans aren't getting their fair shake if they're damage is being halved! ;)

I voted 3.5, but really it'll depend on what I need at the time. I'll certainly be picking up Arcana Unearthed at the first opportunity, and I'll probably be using d20 Modern/Future as well. Plus some other OGL stuff like Mutants and Masterminds.

The changes to the classes and spells seem logical and necessary to me, and what they did with DR sounds a lot like what I did with DR when I first started playing 3E and didn't like the DR rules. Lycanthropes should only be able to be hurt by silver, demons by blessed weapons, etc. For example IMC, a DR of 15/silver means that you NEED silver to hurt that cirtter, otherwise it has a DR of 15 regardless of the plus of the weapon. Otherwise any schmuck with a +4 sword can wade into any combat situation without considering his tactics or weapon of choice, knowing that he has an all-purpose weapon. That just doesn't appeal to me.

Not sure. As I'm SURE you're all aware, it's going to depend on what computer support is available. If 3.5 has a character and monster generator/manager, I'll do that. (I'd be willing to pay, I'm not asking for a freebie.) Monte Cook says that he's working on arranging computer support for Arcana Unearthed, so if that works out I may be giving that a shot.

3E, there is no way I'm going to make all the books I've bought obsolete so soon after buying them, or replace perfectly fine core books I've already got. I know I'll no longer be buying new books that are setup for the 3.5 edition. So WOTC will lose at least one customer, as will the 3rd party publishers. I'm sure they are worried... ;)

Hackmaster looks more and more attractive these days.
