What will be new for Poly

Any insight as to whether or not there will be any change to the Polyhedron mission after the sale of the magazine unit?

Any of them for that matter - not looking for details or super-secret stuff, but everyone has a mission statement...

Thanks for asking.

I really like the direction Poly's headed these days, and the readers really seem to enjoy it, too. Editorially, the only thing that will change is that the magazine will have some extra Star Wars RPG stuff thrown in.

Excellent.

I for one am not a strict D&D only player. I wish the RPGA had the member benefits for me it once did - frankly I used to get it JUST for Poly. Now though, I will probably let it lapse (unless I find the time to join a Living Xxxx campaign) and keep buying the Poly's.

By "extra Star Wars stuff" do you mean an adventure plus a helpful gaming-related article per issue?

Would you mind including JD Wiker's Q&A column of Star Wars rules?

The Q&A column is a great idea. I'll talk to JD about it. It's going to take a couple issues before anything SW shows up in Poly, but I'm making plans for it now.

The current plan is to provide at least one adventure per issue, but it may be more depending upon a number of factors. Gimme an issue or two to feel my way into a nice balance, please. :)

That means the minigames will get smaller won't it. :(

That's to bad. More space for the mini-games to go indepth is a million times more important than an adventure.

But then again, if I had my way I'd throw out all that useless stuff in the Dungeon side and make the whole issue for the mini-game.

Erik: Sorry to use a public forum in regards to a private conversation, but, I wanted to be sure you got the email I sent last night, since I've evidently had trouble getting through to you before. Thanks for your patience in this.

Well, Erik, if you want my ideal opinion ... because you are under a new management, it's time we separate the two magazines. Make POLY a standalone "definitive d20" magazine with 100 pages. That way it can accomodate a mini-game as well as articles featuring support for Wizards' non-D&D d20-based RPG products, and the Jedi Counseling column. Give it a bimonthly status that alternate with Dungeon bimonthly circulation (e.g., Dungeon goes on sale January, POLY on February, and so forth).
