D&D 5E What Wizard should I be?

This week I get to play a character instead of DM. I want to play a wizard, but I'm not sure which wizard subclass to pick. Tell me which one you think I should play, and tell me why. :) Thanks in advance.

Whatever type of wizard you would have the most fun with.

I myself would go conjurer build for the sheer enjoyment of "minor conjuration" class ability there is so much fun to be had playing the guy that has the right tool for the job or the crazy thing in his pocket or hat. At 6th level benign transposition is great fun and can come back after every fight when you cast a conjuration ritual like tenser's floating disk or unseen servant.

Roll stats, roll 1d6 for stat placement. 1 is str, 2 is dex etc, reroll if already hit the stat.
Lightfoot halfling
Divinity Wizard 4, lucky feat
Cleric of trickery lvl 2

Halfling rerolls 1's and lightfoot you can hide behind mediums.
Lvl 2 you get two divinity dice
Lvl 4 you get 3 rerolls
Lvl 2 trickery domain you grant stealth advantage to party members.

I'm itching to play this character myself. If his stats are baller, great! If his stats blow, you still be wicked fun.

Why do you want to play a wizard? It's really not possible to answer your question without knowing what attracts you to the wizard in the first place.

It depends on what type of Wizard you want to play. Do you want to play a blaster? Then pick evocation. Otherwise, if you want to play god, then picker Diviner.

Portent is one of the best abilities in the game.

It allows you to influence so much without actually casting spells. For example, we had a case this week where an Ogre ended up challenging our Str 13 cleric to an arm wrestling match in order to allow us to pass (long story, but it involved an illusionary hill giant saying they lost a strength challenge to the cleric). Luckily I had foreseen the Ogre doing poorly and it rolled a 2 from portent, which enabled the cleric to have a good shot of winning (and he did with bull strength).

It works even better with Save-or-Suck spells since you can forsee them not saving. You can forsee the main BBEG failing to save to your hold person. One round of hold person will crush his face. Legendary resistance can still win, but otherwise you have the Paper to everyones Rock.
