What would Batman do if Gotham City was invaded by another country?

Apparently is was enough for Batman to ask the question...

Not trying to spoil anything, just pointing out the inherent difficulty in pinning down what a character that has gone through so many different incarnations (even in the same continuities) would do. Jeph Loeb's Batman is not Frank Miller's Batman and so on.

As far as limiting who you will kill, thats sort of an oymoron. 'Ill kill, but only monsotrous humanoids'.

Not really. There are people who will not kill their own countrymen. In D&D, you can have characters that will not kill their own species (though that's considered racist). You can have characters that will not kill "civilized humanoids", or characters that won't kill any humanoids, period. You can even have characters that will not kill any free-willed intelligent being-- but consider Exemplars fair game, since they're not really capable of moral choices.

And all of these are forms of non-violence-- differing degrees of a moral stand against killing.

Batman would welcome the new, beneficient Canadian overlords of Gotham.

That is what Batman would do.
