If she suddenly started favoring males and not females, I think that would pretty much spell the end of the Drow as a race. The males would flaunt their new power and strike back at the females for years of abuse and mistreatment, while the females would not take this sitting down and would fight back just as hard.

It'd end with either 95% of all Drow dead, or until the Drow finally have enough and turn their backs on Lloth once and for all.

What would Llolth have to do to get the drow to turn on her and forsake her?
Okay, lets see what could be done... Mmmh... :\

Llolth is a female deity who only supports priestesses. Drow society is matriarchal, and ruled by cruel priestesses through fear. It's more than likely that all drow males bow to the priestesses' authority but in fear and anger, as befits a CE society. So IMO, drow males would certainly welcome an opportunity to throw off the tyranny and get the power for themselves. However, they certainly fear the evil goddess would send her avatar or what not to assist the priestesses beat up a rebellion.

Hence, my idea is that drow males would attempt a rebellion and discard Llolth rule, only if they knew with certainty that Llolth couldn't intervene against them. Maybe a most powerful artifact could prevent outsiders, including deities, to enter the prime material plane in a wide radius around the artifact. Or maybe there would be a war among deities in the outer planes, where Llolth must concentrate all of her attention, preventing her to intervene on the material plane. Or maybe some powerful deity has got more power on the material plane (in the vicinity of the drow realm), and now would intervene if another deity entered this region of the world, so Llolth cannot come to the drow realm in person anymore. Note this could be another evil deity trying to convert the drows, that would confront Llolth in person if she appeared on the material plane during a rebellion against the priestesses' matriarchy. Or still another reason, the possibilities are numerous. In any case, my idea is that drow males would reject Llolth dictatorship given the opportunity.

Well, since Lloth was an admitted misspelling of Lolth by Salvatore, obviously this Lloth only exists in the Drizzt-verse FR. And Elminster has hawt drow chicks at his beck and call in Drizzt-verse SR. So it would have to be a rebellion led by Drizzt and Hawt Drow Chicks [TM].

She could choose to favor another race over them, one she found more evil, cruel, or spider like. If her favor was gone that would be the end of the matriachy's power but also engender a psychotic abandoned child reaction of "I will kill you to show you how worthy I am of your love and attention."

So in this scenario we have:

1) The Drow facing several set backs, siginificant enough to make them look weak in the eyes of the world.
2) Another evil race rising, perhaps by challanging the Drow supremcy of the underdark. A race that also honors a spider totem, but perhaps doesnt associate it with Lloth yet.
3) Lloth manifests to the other race demanding their worship and obedieance and in doing so angering the drow.
4) Drow high priestesses question Lloth's will. Drow High Priestesses die.
5) Weakend matriarchy falls in wide spread Civil War to rebellious male factions, perhaps united under a single strong male leader. Males, being more used to following orders, turn their society closer to lawful - say NE since their is still such a strong chaotic tendency.
6) Females continue to exert influence, but in more subtle ways, to turn the new male rulers into instruments of revenge against/tools to show their worth to Lloth. Perhaps during this time agents of other deities attempt to bring their patrons to the fore of drow life.
7) Male led army turns its attention to destroying Lloth's New Favored by first attacking and conscripting other underground civilizations to serve as front line troops or making common cause with other victimes of the LNFs, new NE outlook enables societal mechanisms to make both of these possible.
8) The Underdark goes to war, outcome as need.

9) Depending on results:
a. Drow win: Lloth accepts former priestess who were manipulating male leaders. Status quo returns for the most part.
b. Drow win and use Epic magics to assualt demon web pits, possibly with allies drawn from good races, and destroy or imprison Lloth.
c. Winner weakened to the point that they are reduced to small enclaves, leaving power vacuum in Underdark. Some drow follow new order, some return to Lloth.
d. Winner comes out of the war stronger due to new alliances/conquests and magic and starts to turn their attention to the surface.
e. Lloth turns all into driders and her avatar leads them in an effort to conquer the world.

I thought you said "Turn her out" and I was gonna say, Orcus pimping out Lolth? That sounds like an awesome premise for a campaign.

Whereas I thought the title said, ". . . to get the drow to turn her on."

My reply: Well, they've got those snake whips. Those've gotta be good for somethin'.

LOL! Me, too. Couldn't think of a thing that they're not already doing, though.

Actually, that would explain a lot of Drow culture, wouldn't it?

Cheers, -- N
