MaxGuver has a number of options:
He'd make a flamethrower out of a fuel injector, some garden hose and a roll of ducttape.
He'd make a Zombie Brainer out of a pair of baseball Pitching machines mounted on a pickup truck and a roll of ducttape.
He'd climb up a cell tower and re-orient the emitters to aim at zombies with a roll of ducttape.
The A-Team would:
lock themselves in a maintenace garage while the zombie horde gathers outside. During the montage, they'd create a mechanical jaw system out of a forklift and a school bus and would then bust out through the main door (not opening it first) and begin chomping down on zombies with they zombie-munching machine.

The A-Team would blow a lot of stuff up with grenades and the like, but it would merely push the zombies around and knock them prone and not kill them. They would then escape one step ahead of the zombies in their van.
Love the zombie killing idea out of a baseball pitching machine from MacGyver. He'd probably also set up something else to fry the zombies as well - maybe some farm implements would be fashioned into some sort of whirling machine of doom that would slice up the zombies.
So, what, they'll never experience dropped calls? Or maybe the idea is to give zombies brain cancer?
The shrear number of off the wall killing machines boggles the mind.

the science is off, but the premise is to use the microwave transmitters to cook the zombie brains.
