What would you want in Epic?

Any time where a DM hasn't given out treasure for over 5 levels, you should be considering whether the DM understands the concept of treasure.

okay, on top of you being a major jackass in your response, no one has yet to post on this thread named Marty DiBergi (so on that, i will assume thats your real name). You needn't be so touchy, nore flame me. I was making a suggestion, and some folks agreed, you didn't. Recap: there was no need to flame - i explained my rational, you flame me for it. Alrighty then . . .
Sorry to offend! It's a movie reference, and was meant all in good fun (though I could see how it could come across as too harsh). Marty's a character in the movie; your lines are cribbed from a character named Nigel Tufnel.

12 levels i managed to stay alive til 27 mostly by just by dumb luck and being agressive

and yeah he understood treasure

the :):):):)ing elf blade dancer had a nice +6 keen moonblade of eldritch blasting

I have to agree that 100 level progression is too spaced out. I also don't think there should be any cap on levels but Epic does need to be reworked. I think Upper Krust has the right idea with Epic. Though I also agree that your classes focus should not all of a sudden change. I think Epic play can be fun, but the whole system does need reworking, best of luck to you!

See, I thought that was one of the few things the ELH did really well. Hundred-armed abominations spawned from the corrupted blood of deities? What's not to like?

Personally, I love the ELH monsters- but those clamoring for more are right. There aren't nearly enough. ...Hell, I'd love a whole book of just epic monsters.

I've never played Epic, not my cup of tea, but what would entice me to play is a detailed book that really describes the plots and machinations of dealing with other gods and demon lords across an infiinity of planes. "Epic" to me isn't just in the number crunching, it's also in the flavor of the campaign, where you can and will do things that even 19th/20th level characters couldn't fathom. I own the ELH and quite despise it, other than the artwork which is rather good.

Put simply? A more seamless progression into 'epic', though I think that might require reworking the RAW more than a little bit. What struck me most about the ELH was that the gap between 20th and 21st level is more like the gap between 10th and 20th than, say, 5th and 6th. It just struck me as wrong.

For truth, as it were.
