They all gave up on d20 and are off playing GURPS.

Hong "are they going to get a shock when d20 GURPS is released" Ooi

i still remember the shock and pleasure i felt the first time i saw eric's site. I allmost passed out. a third edition, it cannot be. will the thief still suck? new multiclass rules? that's stupid! what's wrong with the multiclass rules? (lol) oh god, i just spent $300 on books for second edition last month! every day between some time in december i think and august 10 (actually nobody where i live got the ph until the 23 of august), i checked the boards for even the smallest tidbit of information.

my hat is off to you mr noah for the many months of joyous anticipation you gave us back in the day. except april 1 man. that was cold! before i remembered the date, i allmost had a heart attack, and i'm only 24. then eric quit and i lost interest in the daily website check for a time. actually i do not think i posted between eric hanging up the keyboard and february of this year.

Wow. I'd almost forgotten some of the legendary battles TB fought...even on their home turf.

I sorta miss Ruin Explorer, but every other damned time I've said that he's shown up only to flame me. He was always fun to read when I wasn't his target.

The Pantheon are all playing GURPS? I thought they liked FUDGE?

i must say that when i first joined, i was surprised that there was an "in-crowd" on a site for people who, being gamers, in their real lives were most likely shunned (or at least ignored) by the "in-crowd".

whether or not it was intended that way, that's the way i saw that whole pantheon thingy. ironic. and kind of silly.

Oh lord, I'm flashing back to when I stupidly called it something along the lines of the "in-crowd." I'm still smarting over it. I really put my foot in my mouth then, and I paid for it. ;)

"the pantheon" were they those pompus jerks who refused to believe that the opinions of others could posibly have merrit? were they the ones who pretty much believed themselves the only true roleplayers among us at the time? in a hobby full of social oddities (myself included, you have to admit that few and far between are the roleplayers who are "cool" by society's standards) why people would choose to segregate the community into some kind of class system i do not know.

perhaps i have missed the mark, or perhaps my memory does not serve correctly. this however is how i remember the pantheon: arrogance personified. no flame intended, my lowly opinion should not matter to a god anyway.
