Whatever happened to Zeb Cook?

I was reading The Dwellers of the Forbidden City for the first time today, and realized it is everything I like in an adventure - evocative, creative, and with a lot of room for personal expansion and "winging it". Then I realized it was written by "David Cook" who, (If I'm not mistaken) is the same David "Zeb" Cook who wrote the 2e PHB, as well as some great adventures and supplements... including one of my all-time favourites, the Isle of Dread.

I remember in an old issue of Dragon, around the #200 mark, his announcing that he was quitting TSR to work on computer games. I remember hearing someone mention that he did work on the original Fallout game, which is also pretty cool.

Since then, I have no idea.

Anyone know what he's been up to? And fill me in on some of the other gems he's penned?

His Wikipedia entry seems to stop around his 2001 induction to the Origins Hall of Fame. Looks like some involvement leading up to 2001 in the City of Villians computer game and then lead systems designer for the video game Stargate Worlds, though it looks like that game is struggling to be released?

He was the lead designer for City of Villains I think. I know I remember him doing something with City of Heroes/City of Villains. But that was a couple years ago.

He was over on DragonsFoot for awhile-there is a long Q&A thread in the general section. He also did a interview over @ Grognardia, not too long ago. (maybe a year?, and IIRC, thats where I got my sig quote)

Zeb Cook wrote the Foreword to The Dungeon Alphabet by Michael Curtis, published by Goodman Games. (First printing sold out.)

I'm surprised nobody's said it yet.

He's created the absolutely elegant ZEFRS rules. If you haven't checked them out, you're doing yourself a serious disservice. I have to keep myself from "borrowing" and reflavoring all of his ideas for my own game. Horrible, I know, but it's true!
