What's been your longest break from playing RPGs?

I'm on a DM break right now, however I still play and enjoy the game.

You see people talking about being burned out on playihng rpgs and that their on a break. A few years before the release of 3rd ed this was me, in fact I totally didn't pay ANY attention to rpgs at all. This lasted about 4 years. I was caught in the CCG and table top gaming craze after burning out with my then play group.

Well.... Im only 19 years old and learned about D&D when I was 15 (nearly 18) years old which makes 4 years impossible for me actually :P

I do not play that often but I keep myself a bit updated with reading some of the books now and then. Anyways, The longest break was for... 1 year, just after a half year of intense D&D on my school. We played almost everyday, it was crazy :):):):) back then. I play only few because those people I play with lives a long way from where I live. Maybe 2 times per year I do play pen n' paper. However I play live-roleplaying 1-2 every month and kick some ass with those gaffaswords and I'm a viking every summer (yes a viking!) at a place called Trelleborg in Denmark :P

Four years due to me moving to another state. Then about 6 months due to players not being committed to playing.

I just recently got married and then 2 players went on vacation right as we came back. So we've been on hold for about 2 months now :(

My current one actually. It's been around four years since I ran a campaign and just under two since I last played... I do so miss gaming... just can't find a group in the area...

I went several years when I didn't game, and read game books less and less. I even sold off some stuff since I "didn't use it."

Later, I realized I was just drifting from my old college chums and felt bitter about those relationships and the lack of interested players.
