So far these are the movies I'm looking forward to seeing this summer

  • Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (probably go some night this upcoming week)
  • Batman Begins
  • Fantastic Four
  • War of the Worlds
  • Serenity
A saw a preview for something starring Ewan MacGregor that looked interesting but the name escapes me.

What else is coming out that looks good to you?

Well, there is the new Zorro movie in September...

Oh, and there is the new Terry Gilliam film about the Brothers Grimm that looks very amusing. :)

Other than that, I might go to see something, but nothing really gets me terribly excited.

I'll agree with Batman Begins and Serenity. Add Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Wedding Crashers and The Brothers Grimm to that. The McGregor film is The Island, which looks like it might be decent. Last Days is based on the last few days of Kurt Cobain's life and might be good. Mike Judge is making another movie for this summer that strangely doesn't have a name yet; that's bound to be funny. Domino is a must see, simply because it stars Keira Knightly. :)

War of the Worlds looks like just another invading aliens disaster movie. Yawn. And I wanted to look forward to Fantastic Four, but that trailer made me wince.

Nothing I'm dying to see.

It's all sequels, remakes, based on other intellictual property, and well, crappy comedy.

Something may be good in all it like Sin City, but I'm not expecting anything.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Batman Begins
George A. Romero's Land of the Dead
War of the Worlds
Fantastic Four
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
The Devil's Rejects
The Brothers Grimm
Sky High
The Pink Panther
Domino
The Cave
Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
Serenity
Underworld: Evolution
Chronicles of Narnia
Goblet of Fire
King Kong

As far as I know now; there's other stuff to be released in the last quarter that I probably have not heard about yet.

Serenity!
even though i already saw it.
I wanna see it again.

Batman has me FRIGHTENED. it looks absolutely awful. to clarify, it looks like it might be a perfectly nice action movie with nice effects. that said, absolutely NOTHING about it says batman to me.

Fantastic Four? I'm optimsitcally pessimistic. I didnt like the X-men trailer when I first saw it, and liked the X-men movie just fine. I compare my feelings to the FF trailer the same way. Of course, being less attached to the FF, it might take a bit more to sway me.

War of the Worlds. In general, over-hyped movies starring Tom Cruise and a big-name director arent too hot. I do like the fact that the trailers are keeping the cards close to the vest though.

Willy Wonka and Corpse Bride. has Tim Burton ever made a movie that wasn't an over-hyped piece of mediocrity? Big Fish was ok, but he wasnt completely in charge on that one.

Mr and Mrs Smith. the classic DVD movie for me. nothing but an popcorn flick and no need to see it on the big screen.

I'm much more looking forward to Harry Potter, Narnia and Kong, but maybe i'll be surprised.

Well, obviously I can't wait for the movie remakes of the classic 1960's and 1970's "Bewitched", "Herbie the Love Bug" and "The Bad News Bears".

Only kidding....I think I'll skip those. Seriously though, there is a film called "Stealth" that looks to be a cross between Top Gun, Wargames and Terminator movies where a sentient computer takes over the U.S. Military's computers with intent to start a war and it's up to the top navy fighter pilots (Jessica Biel, Josh Lucas and Jamie Foxx) to stop it.
