What's in the next Polyhedron?

We knew about Omega World/Gamma World d20 quite a while back, a good while before this thread was even posted. The question is what is in the next issue of Polyhedron?

Erik?

I'm always up for a round of "guess wildly and be amazed at just how wrong you were." I certainly didn't see Thunderball Rally coming.

Hrm. Erik mentioned earlier that he was considering 80's ninja.

My guess:

D20 Hardball with Chris Matthews. You play an expert in a chosen field and you are expected to keep up with rapid fire questions asked with the intention of either arriving at definitive answers to complex questions or undermining your credibility.

Or maybe it will just be D20 Smurfs . :D

Either way I'm happy.

Hmmm...well, I've pestered for a Pitfighter d20 game, inspired by the likes of "Mortal Kombat", "Bloodsport", and Ulitmate Fighting. Hopefully some small publisher will make a martial arts compendium for d20 Modern. That'd be fun.

Around 1989-1990, I actually ran an all-ninja game using "Top Secret S.I." and inspired by a forgotten Marvel comic called "Wolfpack." Ah, to be fifteen again...

I think Erik also mentioned a general aversion to "Furries". So that's one we can rule out.

Just to revisit an idea I mentioned a while back --- Faerie, Queen, and Country d20. Test the waters for a Victorian-era game.

Man alive I wish it was the 80s Ninja game. I think I might want to write that one as a "going away present," should I ever decide to leave my job and go do something else. Or, you know, maybe I'll have someone else do it. I really want it to happen, though.

Don't be surprised to see Dark Matter one of these days. Nothing concrete has happened on that front, yet, but let's just say I'm working on it.

As I announced at Gen Con, the next Polyhedron Mini-Game will be MECHA CRUSADE, 50-or-so pages of animated robot armor goodness. I'm still editing it, so I don't want to give out too much information, but let's just say that the game accommodates mecha of Large to Gargantuan sizes. You can make your armor transform. You can join up into one huge robot ("And I'll form the head!").

Good fun will be had by all, and hopefully all the fighting will be finished in time for the pilots to make it to 5th period math class.

See you in the skies!

Thumbs up!

Mecha Action is something I'm waiting for.

But you made me even more happy with the Dark*Matter Thingy - I'm a big fan of Alternity, Dark*Matter and Star*Drive, so I'm looking forward for a conversation of one of them, campaihnwise and ruleswise.

Thank you ;)
