D&D 5E What's on your 5E 3rd Party Essential List?

I still need to get the 5E Bestiary for it. I was quite surprised it won best monster book of the year for a 5E product in 2023 or 2024 IIRC. Which shocked me a lot.

Are the monsters therein easy to use with bog standard 5E, or does RoS have a bunch of specific rules that are hard to ignore?

I would say that as long as you have no probs with Refluffing stuff, ANY 5E stat block can be used with bog standard 5E.

I have never seen RoS, so i did not know how close they actually hewed to 5E. For all I knew, they DC20'd it and got rid of 2 stats and renamed the others.

Naaah. It's 5E+mechanics unique to the 3pp material like corruption, new spells, renamed classes here and there and what not.

The more you get corrupted, the more your Shadow starts reflecting it and looking.......not right.

Needless to say, you don't want to max out corruption.

What 3rd Party, nonWotC 5E books do you consider essential and pull out for use whenever you run 5E?

Essential? Absolutely nothing

There's a bunch of great third party content out there that I use for inspiration but I wouldn't say anything is essential
