Using whatever criteria for 'best' you choose. It's about the potato specically, not the whole dish (eg cottage or shepherd's pie count as mashed, poutine is French fries, a Sunday roast is generally roast potatoes, etc.)

I've used the names I know. I've tried to accommodate foreign names where I can, but if confused about terminology, Google is your friend.

You only get one choice, so let us know which is your top, most favourite potato, and why it is roast potatoes.
I rarely have them, because good ones take many ingredients and are something of a pain to make for what is essentially an appetizer, but potato skins are amazing! That being said, I love potatoes in all their forms and there are many options on the poll tied for second in my book.

Looks like roast potatoes are pretty much the fave. Nobody likes crisps!
The categories were quite well done... little to no overlap. French fries, 'real chips' and patatas bravas are all (usually) parboiled then fried potatoes, but there are enough minor variations between them that they warrant their own categories.

In Canada, we have both french fries and 'real chips', but 'real chips' are typically what you get when you visit a chip wagon. If you are a Canadian reading this and you voted for french fries, please slap yourself then turn yourself in to the authorities.

My first instinct was to go latkes. However, I went French Fries, because the latkes would, specifically, be my mom's in which she blends the potatoes rather than shred them. Plus, I am going to consider chili fries falling under French fries and chili fries are next level fries.
