Mine? Legend of the 5 Rings 3E books for $9.00 each. Second print. 7 of them in new condition.

3 Ravenloft boxed sets, complete, good to excellent condition, for $21.00, which includes the shipping of $5.00.

Two DCC 12.5 1E's for free.
Simply because I was honest.

All the "complete" books, Arcana Unearthed and three other HB 3E D20 books I am blanking on for $28.00, including shipping.

A solid (light) Apple Green Jade statue of elephants under palm trees that stands about 18 inches high and about 14 inches along the base for $20.00. Granted not RPG related, but I collect lucky elephants.

There are more, but I am too tired to recall them. Most were just super good prices on eBay for large lots.

A friend of mine's elder brother had left home, and told his mother to dispose of the box of old books he had left in their basement. I split the cost with another member of our gaming group (paying ten pounds each), and then split the items, once choice at a time. I picked up, amongst plenty of other things, the City of Greyhawk box set, the Greyhawk Adventures hardcover, about fifteen issues of Dragon in the issue 80-100 range, and around ten Paranoia adventures. :)

In 2000 a friend told me about this RPG system called "Heroes" where he played this game called Champions. Stopped in a game store while on vacation and picked up thirteen of the various supplements for $20.

8' x 12' watercolor safe grid for free from a friend who was moving. (Damn is the thing sexy). Hex one side, 1" squares on the other.

I got Rappan Athuk Reloaded at the guaranteed Amazon price from back when they thought it was going to be a hardcover book. Paid about $25 for it. :)

And got a copy of the 1E Deities and Demigods, with the Cthulhu and Melnibonean sections, for about $20.

Ditto Rappan Athuk Reloaded.

I also got a 1E Cthulhu Dieties and Demigode for $4 at a "Friends of the Library" sale.

I ordered the Player's Guide to Ptolus 5-pack for $15 from an online company twice. The first time, they sent me just one. The second time, because they had run out of them and I guess felt bad about the screwing me the first time, sent me the actual Ptolus campaign book (valued at $120). It might have been a mistake, but who am I to argue?

I picked up a new Alternity hardcover at B&N for $1.

The Blue Box D&D set for $3 at a yard sale. Still had the dice in the bag...

A couple of modules at a yard sale for 50 cents each.

Blood Bowl and the Thieves World Sanctuary board games for $5 at a yard sale.

I've gotten a few free items as well, mostly as an apology sort of thing for a delayed shipment...

I've had a recurring dream for about the past decade or so. In it I stumble upon the ultimate "treasure trove" of gaming materials. Often they are free or at least incredibly cheap. My wife tells me that I am actually dreaming about the first gamer to find MY collection of gaming materials after I die... that the ultimate "treasure trove" is already in my home... I don't know if that is true but I do have 48' of shelf space dedicated to gaming materials, mostly books...

I strolled into my game store and the owner said "Hey Kevin, we just got a lot of used games in. Want to look at them before they hit the shelves?" It was a gold mine; I got about 20 classic 1e modules, including a near-perfect copy of Temple of Elemental Evil, for half off the original cover price.

More recently I spent $50 for three large boxes of books owned by the guy who wrote HoL. It was loaded with rare and interesting games, including a copy of Return to the Tomb of Horrors (which itself sells for about $50.) The 100+ books included Cadillacs and Dinosaurs!

I also tracked down the author and purchased 20 copies of Spawn of Fashan, a handful of which I have left. Worth every penny.

I picked up a number of Changleing books for half cover price when they go for three to five times cover price. I found Hero's Guide for Star Wars d20 for 15 when it goes for 60-90 and same with Starships of the Galaxy. I got Tramp Freighters for d6 Star Wars for 5$ when it seems to also be very high priced. I picked up Nobolis for $20 and I've seen that go for ten times that. I found a second copy of Amber and Shadow Knights for 25$ combines and those can go for a bit more these days. But its the trades I really feel like I do my best. :D

I got the old Avalon Hill boxed set Powers & Perils for $5 from Big Lots, sold it at a local con for six or seven, then bought the exact same copy back years later for $5 bucks. So I guess I spent about -$2 on it!

I also picked up a beat up Fiend Folio for under ten bucks at a used game sale in the 90s. Someone saw it and offered me 20-30 bucks and I turned them down.

The best, though was picking up the white box D&D at a used book store for something like sixty bucks in trade-in credit and then selling it years later on ebay for about $130.
