What's the Best RPG Bargain You've Ever Gotten?

Picked up the Chaosium Thieve's World boxed set for $1 off of ebay. Guy miss-spelled the name in the listing, and nobody else noticed it.

Non-RPG best buy: a copy of Mayfair's Cosmic Encounter in near mint condition for $20. These routinely go for $75+ on ebay, and up to $165 when the bidding gets hot for them. Great game. Beats the pants off the current (2000) WotC/AH version, and is actually affordable compared to the original EON version.

A friend gave me nearly every 3.X D&D and Forgotten Realms product printed up through 2005 after he decided he had moved beyond the hobby. 40+ books in all. Pity, because he was an amazing player, but it was a good deal nonetheless.

Bought Epic Level Handbook for $13 from buy.com when they inexplicably had it priced incorrectly. I'm still not sure that was a good "value" or not, though, since I doubt I've gotten even $13 worth of gaming out of that book in the years since I bought it.

i bought a couple thousand lead minis for 2 cents a lb. the gaming store went out of business and the creditors were selling off the stock.

The three core 1st ed book
3 AD&D modules
a disk with 200+ dragon magazine starting with issue 1,
Gurps 3rd ed Character book and Creature of magic book,
4th Ed. Characters and Campaigns.

All free of charge from En Worlders. I love you guys. :D

i large box filled with first ed. d&d and first ed. ad&d stuff, along with the first edition of 'gamma world' and another box with almost 100 issues of dragon magazine.

Unearthed Arcana, Dragonlance Campaign Setting, Complete Warrior, Modern Menace Manual all at 60% off from amazon.

Tome of Horrors Revised during a 30% off sale so $7 for a 400 page 3.5 monster book.

When it first came out the Necromancer Game Kenzer module pdf bundle was listed as $36 instead of $36 off the $96 bundle price. I emailed them about that after buying it.

I also got Ptolus for $36 during Monte's pdf anniversary sale

I got Encyclopedia of Demons and Devils I and II for $2 each. ;)

The 1970's blue book D&D book for $2.50 from a used book store.

D&D black box Masters Set for $2? $4? something like that.

I cleaned up during the E.N Publishing $1 pdf sales 12 $1 items in the first one and 22 $1 items in the second one plus a bunch of other really cool pdfs deeply discounted such as $4.50 From Stone to Steel and $4.00 Untapped Potential Psionics book.

I got the dragon archive CD on Amazon when it came out, I think that was about $25.

An original Deities and Demigods with the Melnibonean and Lovecraftian pantheons in a part of a stack of otherwise useless crap for 10 bux. I bought it 20 years ago and it's still in mint condition.

I've gotten tons of vintage gaming material for free from people leaving the hobby or as gifts from a friend who finds them at yard sales and then gives them to me. Classic modules, classic rulebooks, lead minis, and boxed sets (I got the entire Birthright set for free from a guy who just decided he was finished gaming, for instance).

I was told recently to expect nearly the entire Rolemaster line of books in the mail from her soon. The payment she asked in return? Origami figures made by my son.
