I think I once rolled over 1000 damage in a Synnibarr game. My character was some sort of mutant, with a strength of 486 (or something like that). I was very happy at that point.
Of course, the villain had 2 Tenths Reduction, which meant he only took 10 points of damage (in Synnibarr, each Tenth cuts the damage to 10%, and each tenth is applied separately). I was very sad at that point.
In D&D, in a recent session, my 11th level fighter did a leap attack that did something like 140 points of damage....to a portculllis. I must have rolled a crit, but can you crit a portcullis?!
