Well, I know I spent $100 on dice at GenCon this year. I wouldn't be surprised if I've spent more than that at previous big cons, this was just the first year I actually looked to see how much I was spending.

I'm not much on expensive single dice. I think at most I've spent about $5 on any one die. I did pay $30 for a set of pewter dice this year.

I once sold a pair of dice for $70 plus five or six pairs of dice in trade.

Yeah, I understand.

I was with a friend who kept telling me I was crazy. Also insane, off my rocker, etc.

What's amazing is that after I got home and gave it to my wife, she told me I could have spent $500 on it and she wouldn't have cared.

Crystal Caste had them at GenCon, and they had all the sizes of dice, I think only 107 were made (of all sizes total) go to http://crystalcaste.com and e-mail them they may still have some left, it is really cool BTW!

I have a set of dwarven stones so that ran me around $40 I think.

I am a dice addict.

Actually, I found a way to make my addiction work for me. I have about a dozen full sets (plus MANY more, oi). When I run combat I use a d6 for the monster on the battlemat. Then I have a matching colored d20 for each of them. I roll them all at once, line them up and go from there. Really speeds things up when there are more than 4 things fighting the PC's.

I can stop any time. Really....

For one die.... most is probably about £10 ($16) for a d34 (bizarre die - never did discover what it was for)

The entire collection has probably cost me around £500 ($800)... but I haven't bought any for years.... honest...

The most I ever spent was $25 dollars for a pound o' dice, most of them d6s. But that works out fine, since I am now playing a high-level rogue with a sword that can add a few extra d6's of damage on its own, so they come in really handy during sneak attacks.

High-price dice purchases:
$25 for hematite dwarven stone dice,
$25 for a set of green jade dwarven stone dice for my fiancee.
$20 for a set of the pewter dice.
$15 for 4 solid machined aluminum d6.
$10 for 2 brass d6

And the worst, which I am proud to say I didn't
actually buy myself, my fiancee bought for me,
was about $35 or so for 1d6. Granted it was one
of those _HUGE_ dice, 6 inches on a side.

O.K., you got me. I bought one of those $100 meteorite d20's at GenCon this year.

But I bought it for my wife. Really.

I spent i think $20 on a full set of sharpies. You can never put a price on the sharpies for they were the best of their kind. Nothing beats a good set!
