What's the source for the additional Elven, Dwarven, and other deities in MTOF?

Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes adds a considerable number of deities to those already mentioned in the PHB and SCAG, but are they newly-made up or are they from older sources? I don't recognize half the deities in the Elven pantheon presented there, for instance! If anybody can tell me where I can find more info about these gods, please chime in! (I know the traditional Elven, Dwarven, Gnomish and Halfling deities from Monster Mythology, Planescape, etc.)

A lot of them are from the 2e "Races of..." series. Others are from Dragon Magazine or other one-off sources.

Races of... series was 3e I believe, not 2e.

But yeah some are fron 2e Dragon magazine, but never got attention outside of the article until now, others are from the setting neutral 3e Races of series of supplenental books, and some are imports from Greyhawk, immigrants if you will.

And Zandilar is another Elven name for Sharess, who started off as Bast, who at least in FR absorbed Zandilar after Vhaerun tried to kill her and absorb her power. Instead Bast, who'd already absorbed a beast cult deity Felidae, and Zandilar merged to form Sharess.

Anyways what is weird to me is that some of these deities changed alignments, I can think of two off the top of my head. Zandilar went from CG to CN and Vandria Gilmadrith went from LG to LN, which is really weird because Vandria was seen as an Goddess of Elven Paladins.

There was a 2e series - "Complete Book of {Species}" that did have deities for each of the races in question. Note that Dragonborn and Tieflings did not exist at that time, so they didn't get books, and new deities for them come from somewhere else

Some of the Gods came from books like this, that is what I was refering to. I can't speak to the series ypu speak of, I don't know if any deities aside from the usual dieties come from those books.
