Two words: Vorpal Falchion.Cadfan said:I think its more because scimitars are lame, and this makes them good.

I wouldn't mind if it was just Blade Flurry or Blade Dance (and applied to any heavy blade).
Nope. I actually find them a bit lacking without threatening reach, though I understand why that was removed. For those particular weapons, I support dual feat access.Boarstorm said:Actually, I wouldn't either. But here's a question -- does it bother you that the glaive, halberd and long spear can benefit from two weapon feats also?

Well, they don't benefit from Eladrin Soldier. And they're not Versatile.Nifft said:Nah, scimitars get the benefit of Heavy Blade Opportunity too. They get all the options that a longsword would get, plus Scimitar Dance.
But they are High-Crit, which is frankly better than Versatile at mid to high levels.Felon said:Well, they don't benefit from Eladrin Soldier. And they're not Versatile.
Which it actually doesn't. A scimitar is still considered a heavy blade, so it can take both Blade Opportunity and scimitar dance (making it the only weapon with 2 feats)Boarstorm said:Hammer Rhythm. Same feat, but with hammers. Let's see what else we can find in the paragon tier.
Deadly Axe, Heavy Blade Opportunity, Light Blade Precision, Polearm Gamble, Spear Push, Sweeping Flail...
It looks to me like they're just trying to make weapons of different types "feel" different in play, above and beyond just what powers a fighter chooses. A curved blade handles differently than a straight blade, so it deserves its own category (apparently).
