What's wrong with me?

First Post
For the past two days, I have felt like I have a cold -- generally worn out, listless, tired. Except that I have none of the other cold symptoms. I'm not stuffy or anything. I just want to sleep, even though I got 9+ hours of sleep last night and 8 the night before.

Today is not a good day for me to feel this worn out. I teach three classes, I've got a meeting, and a stack of tests to grade.

Alright, enough whining. I have got to figure out something to do I my classes today that does not involve me talking very much.

We've secretly switched Nakia's coffee to decaf. Let's watch what happens...

Seriously though. A couple years ago I went to work one day and by mid day just felt awful. Very similar to how you describe. Around lunchtime my wife called me and I told her how I felt and that I was thinking of going home from work early. She says to me, "You may want to stop by the grocery store on the way home and buy yourself some coffee. We ran out and I used the decaf beans we keep around for my mother to make the coffee this morning."

:\ Well that explained that.

I told her that was the reason I felt so terrible and she said that I had a "caffeine problem".

Ahem..."YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT I'VE GOT A CAFFEINE PROBLEM!! THERE IS NO CAFFEINE IN MY BODY! THAT'S THE 'PROBLEM'!" :]

So drink two cups of coffee and call me in the morning. ;)

Well, I don't drink coffee. But I do drink Coke. I'll go get one now and see what happens. If my heart explodes I'm blaming Rel.

It could be allergies, as well. I remember a few years ago I felt this way, went to the doctor, and she told me my allergies had done something to my lungs so I wasn't getting the normal amount of oxygen in the blood; hence, the fatigue.

Coke + Allegra. We'll see what happens.

Just do your best Shatner impersonation and scream "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL!" as you crumple to the ground.

The only time I had fatigue without other symptoms was when I had the early stages of mono. Not fun.

Once you leave the early stages of mono, then you do get a lot of other symptoms. Extremely not fun.

i know my allergies are very active right now. i didn't have any allergies until i crossed the NC border. and now i feel like a punchdrunk fool during the spring and fall.
