D&D 5E What's wrong with this psion?

Trying to catch up on this thread, but can someone tell me what the last 'official' version of the psionic was? 3e?
To expand a bit on @Mecheon's answer:

Psionics in 4e were actually spread between four classes: Psion (controller), Ardent (leader), Battlemind (defender), and Monk (striker).

Psionics in 3e were spread between about four classes as well: Psion, Wilder, Psychic Warrior, and Soulknife.

Dreamscarred Press took the 3e classes, balanced them for PF1, and then added additional psionic classes: Aegis (ectoplasmic armorer), Cryptic (psychic warlock/rogue), Dread (psychic fearmonger), Marksman (psionic "arcane" archer), Tactician (psionic warlord), and Vitalist (psionic healer).

So, we have those last two as subclasses in 5e. I don't know what the Wilder is and if it could be a subclass, but the Psion definitely should not be one.
The Wilder was basically like a wild mage version of the psion or something akin to a psionic sorcerer with psychic barbarian rage.
