Darkness said:It's all practice; I've got to stay ahead of the competition...Yeah, I've imagined as much. I only hope you're still managing to have fun (and not only stress) anyway.

A friend of mine here in Austria is very heavily into martial arts, too, so I can picture that quite well.PA said:Ah, well... Not much, if you except martial arts training. I need that to keep me in shape and relatively sane. I am the president of the martial arts club at New York University, now. (Which actually means I train less myself, train others more, and have had a boatload of administrative stuff to take care of.)
At the moment, yes. What about you? Are you living chained to your computer, with 100+ windows openened, all on this forum (or your stat block site)?
Here goes:What do you think of the changes I'd like to see? Care to comment/agree/disagree?
You should really put that into your sig, like I did with B.A.D.D., for example...Tom Cashel said:Join S.H.I.N.Y.!

More skill points for bards: Sounds good; 6 skill points sounds about right for them.

No material components for bard and sorcerer spells: That just might work for bards; they don't have (m)any spells with expensive components anyway. Not so sure about sorcerers, though. Although for spells with components that are in every component pouch, it should work fine.
Darkness said:UBAB, Sacred Fist: That falls under flexibility, I guess, so why not? And the Sacred Fist could use some revision itself.![]()

The guy I know has seen better times as well; he was in the military recently and, even though he trained quite a bit there, his physical shape is now slightly worse than it was before...PA said:Two years ago, I was still competing and training ten times a week (= 15 to 20 hours). Now, only six times a week, and since I have spent more and more time helping beginners, I have let my own skill decrease. I'll work on (against) that during the winter break.
Ouch. Do you currently teach only martial arts, but also other things? All the same, I've not worked on my doctoral dissertation this past semester because I have spent my time on my teaching; during the winter break, I'll have to read and write a lot for my PhD. No rest.![]()
A few more weeks, probably. And ouch! How long will the toe wound be bugging you? I broke two of my toes doing martial arts (once during a seminar, fighting four people in a row in one hour, without any break; another time during a tournament).
I agree with this.Sorry, I meant, something like the Eschew Material feat, though without the round of preparation a feat requires from spontaneous spellcasters.
Their ability to, given enough Wisdom, potentially penetrate damage reduction that's higher than +5.From the Sacred Fist, I like stuff like the damage bonus tied to the Wisdom Bonus. What do you dislike, in particular?
Sounds good to me.I don't enjoy playing clerics; but a shaman, I'd love to! Maybe they could be offered as a variant for clerics.
Darkness said:Myself, I'm mostly into running. I'd like to do martial arts, too, though.
