D&D (2024) What's Your Experience Like with '24?

The issue is that if I throw something that had resistance to magic weapons I have to do adjustments based on the equipment the PCs have. It's not hard, but I don't see much value to it in the first place.

A truly legendary monster requires research and special weapons to defeat? Cool, that makes them a unique standout. A significant percentage of monsters at lower CR? Just an annoyance.
I don't see the occasional werebeast or gargoyle as a significant percentage of monsters at any CR. And I'm a big fan of research and special weapons on any case. But you do you.

My points are simple:
  • if you don't make threads a (+) thread, you should expect posts like #4, which you felt was not contributive to the thread.
  • if you choose to engage with such posts, I recommend doing so to challenge why they posted as they did instead of just "thanks for nothing" responses--which ALSO contributes nothing to the thread.
  • or better yet in most cases, don't engage with the post and let it go.
  • without being a (+) thread, anyone can post, whether or not they meet your desires, and chime in. Engage with those at your own risk.
Was all of this in my responses "threadcrapping"? I hope not, but since you felt so pardon my interference. I'll leave. Cheers.
Now you've gone from just threadcrapping to sealioning. It's not a great look.

Well, I doubt you're going to get much like:

"We've played it for a few months now but it sucks, it takes too long, PCs are OP compared to 2014, it sucks not having a MM to go along with new PC power bumps. So, yeah, we're dropping it. Wished we hadn't wasted money on this garbage. We're going back to 2014 and have 2024 books to sell if anyone is interested?"

Because the only people who are really going to play it already know what they are getting into and accept they will over all like it. Sure, some might find this little thing or that little thing annoying, but if you're trying it you're probably expecting to like it and you're just going to get mostly positive reports.

So, you're basically asking for "What is the new, great glory for the 2024 version that you really like and what annoys you?" and that's fine, but since you didn't make this a (+) thread can you expect people who aren't keen on the changes to at least chime in?
I think it's fair that if a topic asks for your experiences with X, that you post about your experiences with X. "I won't play X," which is essentially what the "Won't get fooled again" post meant, isn't experiences with it.

We've only played a bit with the new rules: 1) like the new monk a lot, 2) like the Barbarian a lot, 3) unsure on rogue, 4) spellcasters seem a tad weaker, 5) ranged attacks seem a tad weaker and melee weapon attacks boosted, 6) weapon masteries slowing things down but likely because they're new.

No it isn’t. It was saying the game is essentially the same and I’m still playing it just like yesterday. My mood conveyed with a good rock tune because it’s as simple as that. Not getting fooled by all the hype of change.

I’m truly sorry sometimes I just say it like I meme it.
