What's your favorite feat?

Totally un-min/maxed, but I have to say Death Blow! Nothing else sounds so bad-ass, yet evil at the same time. Too bad it sucks, but I did work it into a smackdown in the min/max thread.

Improved Initiative, every time. Whether you're a spellcaster, a finesse type, or a tank, the sooner in a round you can move, the more likely you are to end up in good shape at the end of combat.

While I chose Improved Initiative for many of my PCs, I think it is a little overrated. After all, with the cyclic initiative system there is really no benefit after the first round of combat.

a nod for the Improved Initiative. For the "only help on the first round" folks, consider that the first move on the first round is the only chance your scout may get to flee back to the protection of the group before being encircled by enemies...

For baseball fans, consider this: Why are your really good batters in the #1 thru #4 slots. Because they go first, and thus will reliably go more often over multiple encounters (games).
Thus, do you want the fighter to get that lick in on the last standing bad guy *before* or *after* he deals the blow that crushes your cleric or mage into the dust?

However, I'll say that my favorite feat is still Dodge. Yep, I probably play a lot lower level based games than many of you. But when you are level 1 thru level 4 or so, that extra +1 AC against the guy who is trying to remove your feeble life is very, very important. And since all the high level characters were once low level characters...

Hold the Line - Being able to get an attack of opportunity against anything that charges you is simply awesome.

I didn't say it was bad, just that it isn't my favorite - and I was surprised how many people chose it. Especially given the huge amount of feats available from various (more or less) official sources.
