D&D (2024) What's your favorite rule change?

I don’t have the book yet and I am not sure when I am getting it. I was in a Barnes & Noble today and looked out of curiosity. They had a ton of 2014 PHBs but no 2024.

Most of the changes I’ve heard of are moving further in a direction that is not my style, but I do like the new exhaustion rules and have homebrewed my own version of weapon mastery.

We got 5 and sold out.

Well even though I'm picking up my copy of the alt cover PHB from my job after my early morning shift, My fave change would have to be the fact that Barbarians can extend their Rage via a Bonus Action now. Oh and a much better Monk too.

Low and behold my surprise to find out my copy of the 2024 PHB was going to be shipped out tomorrow from the warehouse I work in. So after asking, they are going to put it off to the side as a customer pick up/HAL(Hold At Location) so I can get it and not have to wait for the 3pm delivery.
Well got done work just now, went to the office, signed on the digital dotted line for the HAL pick up, and here it is! Ain't she a beauty!! 😍

I generally like changes to warlock invocations. I particularly like lessons of the first ones.

Bonus feats were strictly a fighter or rogue benefit in 2014 (and still are giving the feat is an alternative to another invocation instead of a straight bonus and feat restrictions) and it's nice to see that as something available to a caster class. Especially a caster class who isn't a wizard or cleric since these two classes seem to get a lot of love with additional supplements. ;-)

I'm only getting information second-hand, so I haven't seen all the changes personally.

I think changing the how hit points are handled via the various shapechange ability/spells is brilliant - making them temporary hit points. I've actually started using that in my 2014 already.

If there's one "rule change" in the 2024 PHB I like, its how they are doing subclass pages in the book. I really like how the Subclasses, their features, and art are set up. It's really to the point, clear/concise, and it looks really elegant. I hope all future books continue to follow this format when new subclasses are released.
