Many many years ago, when I was first online (back when there wasn't anything much on the World Wide Web and having Prodigy for a service was a big deal), I was working graveyard, and got into MOOs for social contact. Well as MOOs grew out of MUDs, you had to have a name for your avatar/character. I couldn't think of one... until I thougth to use my favorite character from my favorite books in the world. Mhoram from the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant.
My first two email addys were with local ISPs and Mhoram was my email. I've used a variation of his name in every username and email addy I have had ever since. I use the current username here, at Wizards boards, RPGnet, the HERO boards, the M&M boards, and just about anywhere else I go. Mhoram has become my "internet ID"
My avatar is my longest played character - Blackcat. Been player her for over 14 years on and off - Champions character.

Mine is a PC name from the first paladin I ever played: Lhorgrim Felgaard.
It was actually my second choice as a screen name. I wanted to use Aegis as a reference to the shield of Zeus and my public safety background, but the name wasn't available here. I actually looked up the Aegis screen name when I got my CS account fixed, and found that Aegis has never posted on the boards and appeared to be a dead account.
If the screen name Aegis ever becomes available again at EN World I call dibs!

First time joining a new GURPS game, the DM called my character a "hero biscuit" because I tried to make a character that could do everything, plus I tried to do everything anyway, even when I couldn't. I liked the term, and played with the spelling a bit, and voila.

For the youngsters who don't know history...
From Dungeon Module B1: In Search of the Unknown. Zelligar was a great wizard, and (with Rogahn, a powerful fighter) creator of Quasqueton, their stronghold in the wilderness. Which (after they abandoned it) naturally became home to all sorts of nasty creatures, as these things tend to in D&D.
This adventure was the first one I ever ran. It came with the edition of D&D that I started with (Holmes blue book). Since I learned to DM partially from this adventure, I thought it was fitting that, in a sense, I was an apprentice to Zelligar.
Besides, it sounds neat.
NOTE: My avatar is an illustration from that adventure.

My other nickname is The Grymlorde™ which is derived from my being the creator of Grymwurld.
