Whedon Back on TV! With Eliza Dushku! On Fox, No Less!

I'm kinda surprised that Fox would have him back, after all the hassles he caused for them, but I guess they figured getting something out of a contract is better than nothing.

The Season 8 comic is very good.
For real?

If so, I might just check it out. :) I always wanted a Season 8 anyway, so that could be like a 'second best' kinda patch. A fix for the needy.

For starters, it is plotted by Joss himself, with Joss actually writing out the first 6 issues. The second arc is being written by Brian K Vaughn, one of the best writers out there.

The issues truly feel like episodes of the series, down to the point where you can almost hear the soundtrack (specially that crescendo note as the camera zooms in into a surprise appearance at the end of the episode).

Sounds pretty convincing. I'm still one of Whedon's faithful, so yeah, I'll give it a look some time. Cheers! :)

What hassles did he cause for FOX?

Not sure what the hassles are that you speak of, but in the interview linked to by Ain't It Cool, he says that "it's a new day over at FOX", and that they have a new crop of head people over there that are apparently very accommodating to him.

Too bad that didn't happen to SCI-FI's management.

Aside from that, I'm a bit iffy about the premise of the show titled Dollhouse.

I've met sci-fi's management, and they are a really good group of people. MUCH more nerdy than folks seem to think.

They maybe a good group of people but they are piss poor when it comes to promoting their shows , and being on the same wave length as their viewers.

Their policy of showing a show once then not showing it again is really annoying. They cancel shows like the Dresden Files which had an active fan base who really campaigned to keep it on.

i remember when the network first went live. It was in someway betters. Granted most of the programming were old SF shows but they had this really cool slot at 10 PM where they showed SF shows that had limited number of episodes. They made a big deal out of it in the breaks that had interviews with the actors and the producers of these shows.

They also had a SF news show that was really great.

I am glad to see them doing more orginial programing that is one thing they did that was right.

Some of the decisions made are from the parent company for example USA is/was owned by the same parent comapny of Sci-Fi so why were there never any commercials for the shows on Sci-Fi on USA. I would think that during shows like the 4400 and Dead Zone it would make good sesne to reach your targeted audience.
