D&D 4E Whee! I get to play 4e tomorrow!

You all should play the dwarven cleric. Each of you pick a different god of alcoholic beverages. You can spend the rest of the adventure arguing the relative merits of your particular god's "holy water".

You can even make it a drinking game.

I recommend the fighter or the ranger, btw. The ranger has some very nice combat options, both defensively and attack-wise.
In our half-dozen sessions, the ranger has died three times. None of the other PC's have died.

But the paladin has rescued us a couple times. He's pretty tall, for a short guy.

Wow... if you're lucky, Charles got an honorary free pre-release copy of the PHB!

Unfortunately, not the case. (I did get a chance to flip through one at the GAMA Trade Show last week, and it looks very, very nice.)

We should have a few copies here in the not-too-distant future, and I was really hoping to have one by today, but it sadly didn't come to pass.

Just no appreciation or respect for you old-timers has-beens ex-employees :D

Having met Morrus a couple of times, let me assure you he doesn't need any excuse to talk about "holy water". Or consume it. :)

Looking forward to the report!

I'll be writing up a full report later, but here's the short version: fun was had by all! It was Scalegloom, and the dragon TPK'd us at the end (but damn that was a close fight and we hung on till the last breath - if we'd had 5 players instead of 4, I'm convinced we'd have beaten him). Plus a quick tour revealed that Esdevium has in its warehouse more RPG book and accessories in one place than I've ever seen in my life!

Charles was a courteous host and an excellent GM. He allowed a couple of players to switch characters partway through the adventure so that we could get a taste for all the classes/races.

Some things that I was dubious about thematically worked in play better than I expected, and mechanically we found [combat] to be much more fluid and mobile.

Anyway, detailed report later!

Cool! Look forward to hearing your thoughts, Morrus. :)
