Why don't you find a video that says it isn't. I've now provided TWO examples supporting my position, which you have dismissed.
Mentioning a fact about Athas is not the same as "supporting your position". It's absolutely a fact that Athas doesn't have gods, as the second video mentions, but it doesn't support your #1 theme claim.

Also, you're asking me to prove a negative. That's impossible. No-one would make a video saying it isn't, because it isn't. It's not something anyone but you and maybe D&D Shorts (though I am increasingly doubting that) thinks. You cannot prove a negative lol. You might as well ask me to find a video explaining why the Forgotten Realms hasn't been sucked into the elemental plane or something.

Go to the subreddit, and tell me how many people agreed with you about how "The #1 theme of Dark Sun is how important religion is, and why the world sucks if we aren't religious".

Tell me how many people don't. Tell me how many agree with your position.

Like I said we will see if they publish a Darksun setting and in the unlikely event they do, we will see if Darksun fans like it.

To be clear. I went to the subredit, searched on Gods, searched on Religion, found nothing contrary to my position, found nothing affirming yours.

I think you are just wrong, that is my opinion and nothing you have provided makes me question it.

Pretty much everyone who knows about Dark Sun except you? Every single person who has expressed an opinion on the subject in this thread has said that the major themes of Dark Sun are:

1) Climate change caused by greed and lust for (magical) power, and that this is bad. (Ecological disaster)

2) Evil Sorcerer-Kings brutally rule the city-states and oppress them in quixotic manners, and that this is bad. (Tyranny)

3) It's real difficult to survive out there because there ain't much water or good equipment and there are lots of monsters (Survival)

So I would say those are the top three themes of Dark Sun. I don't think many people would disagree with me. And as we can see from this thread, you are the only person who has disagreed, whilst several have agreed.

So the ball is in your court. Funny that you don't want to go to the subreddit where the Dark Sun experts are. Seems like if you were right they'd all agree with you and it's be real easy, right?

Go ahead and ask them what the major themes of Dark Sun are. Tell them religion is #1 theme. Go on. No-one agrees with you except maybe D&D Shorts but you didn't link that, I'm not sure he does.

TLDR: The major themes of Dark Sun are Tyranny, Ecological Disaster, and Survival.

As I mentioned above I alreay went there and did not see anything contrary to what I am saying, nor anything agreeing with what you are saying.

In the unlikely event they do release a new Darksun and people come on here and whine that it is not real Darksun, then I am still right.
I don't think your definition of what is the core of DS needs to not be met for people to complain about it not being 'the real DS (TM)'

Time 2:10: "While Dragonlance complain about their evil goddes, at least they have gods""
no one is arguing that there are gods in DS... you are the only one arguing that the absence of gods is what makes DS a hellscape and that this is its central theme. These are two separate topics

not finding anything about religion / gods should be considered contrary to your opinion. The supposed number one theme of DS is not mentioned on the DS site at all? That sounds like religion is essentially irrelevant, not its central theme
