When did "PHB" become "PH"?

Those I play with have always said PH. I only ever write PHB because it'll be more readily recognized on forums. I think the extra B is unnecessary and foolish.

I've used PHB probably due to the the old line of Complete Handbooks (Fighter's, Thieves, etc) being called the PHBR line (and the blue books, DMGR).

Its probably PH because now you have to buy the Basic set to go with it. Looks like PH just expands on the Basic set......if that is the case, I'm not happy

Seriously. I don't care. I'm going to continue to call it the PHB, probably until I die or quit the game forever. Just like I still refer to PSPs instead of PPs or whatever they were called later

In real English, it's PHB.

In American "English", it's PH.

You know those crazy seppos are always dropping a letter here and there because they think it's superfluous....
