Well, the last set of dice I got over the internet. That's because I won an auction for the D&D Player's Kit that came with dice (can't beat a paperback PHB for about $4+S&H).

However, I'd probably never buy dice online by themselves. You can't run them through a test drive online ;)

Deliberately? I purchased a set from the local game store.
Incidental to another purchase? I got a set in the Player's Kit purchased at a local Borders.
Accidentally? I got a set of 'Cheaters' as Mystery Swag when making a purchase from RPG Shop (internet).

I have never bought dice over the internet. For that matter, I've never bought anything RPG related over the internet except for pdf's, and personal buy/trade/swaps. Nothing from a tradtional retailer.

At one time I only owned 2-3 sets of dice, but 3-4 years ago I went through a dice buying phase and bought a set or two every month for nearly a year. While I did buy a few sets online, the most recent set was in a comic/ card/ anime/ gaming supply store (more of the first three than the latter, unfortunately).

I've never bought dice from anywhere but my FLGS. Though since I want a few more of the large size dice and they can't seem to get any stock of them lately, the next time I buy dice will likely be online.

Last set I got was actually a gift from one of my DMs. Don't remember getting any other sets since my first set back in about 2000. Since then, I'd bought random dice from a dealer at a con, the "pound-o-dice" from an ebay seller and several random "pretty" dice from Chessex when they're at Dragoncon.

I've looked at dice online, but never bought. I'm old fashioned in that I just want to see and feel my gaming stuff before I buy. Books are the only thing I buy online and that is because, here in Japan, there are NO FLGS (However you want to interepret the 'f') that carry English roleplaying stuff at ALL.

There are a few who carry dice, though.
