Tabletop only. No kids, pets, drugs, or cell phones.

Beer is fine, but if you “fall asleep” your character is then under the control of whoever wants a mobile hit-point sponge/mule that game.

Sadly, in college, I once had to also make a “no pr0n at the table either!” rule. But we don’t game with that guy anymore, so it hasn’t been a problem since.

I’ve got several other rules, all written down (mostly common sense stuff.) Tabletop clearly has its problems... But I wouldn’t want to game any other way!

I don't like pbp, pbem, pbm, or anysuch non-instantaneous feedback form of rp. I'll play in an online game if that's all I can get, but my vast preference will always be face to face.

I put both.

I suppose I do like face to face, but it is hard to get a game together, and online the game is aways waiting, even if it is slow. Tehy both kind of make up for the weaknesses of each other.

With all the times I've seen comments about "the internet being the future of roleplaying" I'm suprised that their aren't more votes in the online direction. I still expected it to be a minority, but I thought there would be some support in that direction.

I traditionally prefer tabletop gaming, but am only fairly recently starting to get involved in some on-line games, and am starting to see some of the advantages of it...

So... I marked strongly prefer tabletop, but I suspect that a lot of the other strongly prefer votes might include some growing sense of the usefulness and fun to be had in on-line gaming (which is different from that to be found in tabletop gaming, for sure).
