Where have I been? :)

Well, I didn’t go anywhere, but I have been trying to keep from going looney.

For months now I’ve been concerned that I might be overextending myself by trying to do too much here at once, and it seems that I have hit my limit. Besides conversions for the CC, I have several other projects going on (gaming and non-gaming alike), not counting the things I’d like to do but don’t have the time for because of the ones I *am* working on. so, the last thing I want to do is burn myself out, so I need to cut back.

Oh yes, this is not counting my busy RL – we’re looking to move across town, and waiting for word on that - we might have to pack up and move in only 2 weeks! Yeeaargh!

Anyway, back on point. What I am planning is not closing any threads, nor discouraging discussion or requests therein, but I am going to have to seriously cut back on the number of open threads I have going on at any one time. This will help me narrow my own personal focus, so that I can concentrate on just a few things at once. I will work to finish up all the conversions that are open right now, and no new ones will be started until after that. I think a good max limit is maybe 5 ongoing conversion threads at a time, and it may work out to be less than that. This is for the time being, and if things calm down for me I may go back to where I was say a month ago.

One nice thing is that the supervisor who watches me all day is on vacation this week so I can actually feel free to do what I want when I want, as long as I get enough work done to look like I wasn’t goofing off all day.

Good decision to cut back on your projects. That's a huge number!
Does your decision extend to the e-mail I sent you recently, the one I wanted some comments about? I'll understand if that's the case, I just want to know.

actually no, that project which applies to you and a few others is a bit higher on my priority list, as it is a bit time-sensitive and has a finite end to it. same thing with the hellseed thread.

True, true, it's something similar that kept me away for some time as well.

sorry about being away all week...

i got myself a paid freelancing gig. i'll let you know more when the NDA expires, suffice to say at the moment i've said all i really can.

this weekend is a long one (Memorial Day in the US if you don't know already), and with luck i'll have enough time to finish my project and get back to working on CC stuff so make sure you check in over the weekend!
