Where is everyone?

I have noticed two things-


There seems to never be less than 1600 viewers here (EN World) BUT there seems to be less and less activity (posting).

So.... is everyone just enjoying (or have morbid curiousity) of the flame wars involving 4e or are people just leaving their computers on this site and go about their life making it appear they are here but are not?

It does seem like the Hate/Love 4e area is all that is getting strong action these days. Off Topic is nearly dead. General seems.... more generic than ever.

Hey Mega, as I've said in Hive thread, IMHO flame wars have made the forum a lot less friendlier than usual. So personnally I still read it (even if I get angry often, I hate the 4e flame wars), but I don't write, I don't want to get involved in the conflict...

YMMV, of course, it's only my take on the subject.

Personally, I've just been too busy to post much -- I come on and read a thread or two, and then hie myself back to the salt mines...

I come here mostly to check out publisher news to find out about any good sales. I post to a couple of threads a day, on average, wish people a happy Christmas season, and then go back to the boards I really like.

I think it's definitely 4e. I think a lot of 3.x/d20 fans have already left, and a lot of the new 4e converts post more on the offical boards.

I'm curious as to where the remaining 3.x/d20 gamers will go after 4e actually comes out.

I browse, but for some reason, my posting has dramatically decreased. My life has gotten a little bit busier and I'm now preparing to move out on Jan. 2nd, so while I should still have time to browse EnWorld and post, my time is continuously decreasing.

Not sure. I plan on staying here unless 3e is completely unsupported at EN World but I don't see that happening.

When I saw something about EN World 2 I had assumed it was for 4e support. guess not.

I still visit three or so times a day, and go over to CM at night to look around. I rarely look at the 4E threads because I'm the kind of person who wants to see the book in my hands before I make up my mind. Arguing about it six months prior to publication is a waste of time and energy.
