Well, lessee... Money? Clothes? What could I take with me that would make my life "there" comfortable if I stayed for a while. (Gosh, I seem to be fresh out of Gold Pieces!)

Assuming unlimited funds and the ability to actually communicate with the residents, someplace where I can get a new, younger body. Preferably one with Supa Abilikies!

You could always just blow your life savings on flashlights and batteries. I'm sure they'd be all the rage among adventurers, and boy oh boy would they be a limited, pricey commodity!

Or, you could take some handguns with you and sell them as minor artifacts. No sense in going there without becoming rich AND destabilizing the local elitist despotism, right?

My first thought was Elysium, but with that trapping effect it's just like dying, so I'll keep that for my retirement.

So I'm definitely with the Sigil crowd. And first thing I'd get myself initiated as cleric to some nice minor god.

As a big vacation, I'd tour the Upper Planes. It's relatively safe, with plenty of things to do and stuff to see. I would party in the Sensates' place in Arborea, the one where they relegate the folks that only seek pleasurable sensations, then I'd go relax and maybe study a bit of magic in the less chaotic planes. A few months overall, I guess. I'd pay my stay by selling my knowledge of advanced mathemathics to Guvners. Bring back a few magic items as souvenirs if I can.

Oh, and I'd get a cure disease cast on me, just in case. I'm sure I can persuade some of the celestials that get it at will to spare one for me. If it only covers serious stuff, it wouldn't be much use for me right now, but if it covers anything that medicine has a name for, I bet that virtually everyone would find it handy at least once.

If just a short trip, with limited money, head to Sigil, hire a tout and a sedan chair, get shown the most interesting parts over the course of a few days.

If just a short trip, with unlimited money, head to Sigil, grab a cleric of the highest level I can find (non-evil, and preferably with the extend spell feat), pay him a crapload of money, tell him to prepare greater status or whatever the name of the spell that lets you cast stuff on allies without touch or even line of sight, tell him to prepare as many death ward and protection from alignment spells (alignment doesn't matter, I only want it to block charm and dominate) as he can, tell him to keep them up on me as long as possible, and then go find a succubus whore. Just so I can brag about it.

Then proceed as per "limited money" above.

My other option would be Discworld, where I'd visit Ankh-Morpork and probably be mugged within 30 seconds; but I'd remember to get a reciept.
