Which Cthulhu campaign would you recommend?

Actually, there's been a bit of movement on this since my last post. And while I'm still not going to be running any of the campaigns mentioned in my first post, I've managed to persuade three of my players to take part in a Delta Green campaign, and its got my creative juices flowing much more than the D&D campaign that I have been running. :D

Thanks to all who chipped in their thoughts.

Been off the boards for a bit but just wanted to quickly throw another potential option your way which may help with the 'too lethal, too likely to go mad' issue with CoC - Realms of Cthulhu.

I haven't played it myself, but it sounds like it might be worth looking into. It's for Savage Worlds, but is supposed to include conversion notes to/from CoC. Given how stellar some of the old 'big box' campaigns are, if this helped you shoehorn your players into one of them then it would be well worth the investment (and the SW Explorers Edition is only a few quid as well); I have a very occasional game where we have just started Masks of Nyarlathotep, and the quality of the material is first rate - lots of maps and handouts. At least our GM runs it in a fairly 'pulpy' style, but I'd like to try something like Orient Express using RoC instead just to see how it plays.

Here's what Game Geeks had to say about it:

This is so ironically funny to me as I'm having trouble getting all but two of MY game group to play D&D :) ... My youngest son and my wife both find all the tactical aspect of D&D "too long" and like the looser and scarier aspect of CoC. So it's hard for me to get a D&D game going. I've been rallying my best efforts to encourage them to play an EBERRON adventure that will be lighter on the fighting and heavier on the NPC interaction and investigation. We'll see if I can win them over.

Good luck then. If you weren't so far away, we could have traded groups.

And welcome to ENWorld too. :)
