War is a good domain for people who are going to get themselves involved in melee combat; otherwise, it's not really worth it.

Rolled up the character last night (4d6DL, then assignment to abilities)
Ability scores: Str: 10, Dex: 8, Con: 11, Int: 16, Wis: 16, Cha: 14
Looks like I'll be taking Fire and Healing - though Law, War or Protection could also be available. War wouldn't be that great a choice with those stats, but Law or Protection could be useful.
