Which Dragon column(s) would you like to see revived?

You mean stuff like a curse that comes with the physical book so that the original author of the spellbook comes out of his grave and eats you? That was from one of the recent spellbook offerings. Or the spellbook from the insane bard who penned his spells as part of his masterwork symphony?

That's what you are looking for?
What the book looks like, whose hands it passed through, etc. Some of the articles have had this, but most of them have not, beyond "Phido liked illusions, so he made a bunch, here they are," which is of less use to a DM dropping new spells into a game than having details of a mysterious spellbook all worked out to use, modify or discard.

The Wizard's Three

The Dragon's Bestiary and Creature Collection. the former for themed issues and the latter for larger collections and with some more frequency.

Giants in the Earth: Yeah, some fun stuff here.

Bizare of the Bazar: I know it's back but more!

Overall some good suggestions!

1) Giants in the Earth: If always loved the statting of historical and fictional characters in D&D. They showed ways to adapt characters from different worlds to the D&D system, and often were good for adapting to different characters in campaign settings.

I realize this is the least likely, given the copyright/trademark considerations. It was a different atmosphere in those days.

Yeah, this was one of my favorite features of Dragon back in that era. The copyright/trademark issue is a problem, but there are many, many characters from myth, legend, and literature that is now public domain that could be presented. It would be a good way to showcase how the rules could be used to create all manner of characters, and could also be a good way to tease material from new releases (as long as they provided all the information necessary to use the new abilities).

2) Rogue's Gallery: I guess I like NPC stats. I would like to see themed NPC stats. As a player, they'd be good for quick PC stats, as a DM they'd be good for quick, NPCs. I wouldn't mind if these were tied into WotC fiction, too. I sort of miss seeing stats for characters in the D&D books (no matter how much some might abuse them).

I love having ready-made NPCs also. The themed NPC concept has been done a bit in Dungeon magazine in the last couple of years, and Critical Threats pretty much covers this idea as well. However, it'd be nice to see stats for characters from the old Rogue's Gallery as well as the named characters from throughout D&D's history.

Dragon is running on all cylinders right now. Best its been in quite some time. I'd like to see a "You Design It" feature. Every other issue they give a topic (new monster, new item, new rules plugin, new class, etc), then in the next issue present the best three takes on the concept. Readers vote, and the winner gets a small but cool prize.

I'd like to see class acts as it is with one exception. They need to add an entry that takles one of the new classes each month. Binder one month, warlock the next, Truenamer the next, psionic class the next, may an epic class the next. I think it would be a great way to show some suport for these books.

I never read the old class acts, which were mostly filler text, and I don't read the new ones unless I am particularly interested in the topic (but they take up less space, so they're better from my POV).

Bazaar of the Bizarre was almost universally great. Creature Collection (old-style) was great, but let's never repeat the "tentacled monster n+1" fiasco of the late 1990s/early 2000s.

Add another vote for 'Giants in the Earth', but I'll also agree with previous posters saying that Dragon is running on all cylinders at the moment. As both a DM and a player, I consider Dragon and Dungeon magazines to be the best money it is possible to spend on the game, outside the core rulebooks... uh, and maybe those darn minis. "Plastic crack", indeed... :heh:
