Jason Carl is, of course, still rotting in my set-on-fire-on-sight list after Sword and Fist.

Actually, has Jason "the halfling outrider was an innovation, not a mistake" Carl done anything d20-related since S&F?

Jason "Mercurial Arms Race" Carl is in fact listed on the WotC site as working on some upcoming FR books. Ahhh, looks like Silver Marches. No big loss for me personally since I don't play FR. You FR fans have my sympathy.

Man, why so much venom towards Jason Carl? He made a mistake early in 3E, but why is he still persecuted? Btw, Lords of Darkness was published November 2001. No, I don't have it. No, I don't play FR. Yes, I was disgusted with the whole S&F debacle, but I don't feel compelled to snipe him when convenient.

I'm gonna get as many dwarf books as I can. Wulf's first, then GR.

I'm surprised to note that on the displayed cover Carls name comes before the illustrious SKR.

Maybe SKR gave up writing for WotC and is was credited as an Illustriousator. Ya know... The guy who draws all the Illustriousations...?

Nobody is persecuting him. We are _ridiculing_ him. There's a difference.

For everybody in my different groups, I'll be showing off my copy, but you'll have to buy your own :-)

And at $10, it's a steal! I think in the end Ben's book will definitely offer the best gaming value per dollar.

Ah see what happens when you miss going out to these things. Ah well. Glad to hear that it's top notch stuff and look forward to getting my own copy.

Joe, I'll still make sure you get a review copy. Just email me.

Well if PC thinks it good I may have to check it out. Is this in print or PDF?

It's in print, and I think it looks great. However, being ever self-critical, I'll be increasing the paper grade next time out. What appeared to be a serviceable thickness in the printer's samples turns out to be a little thin for the amount of text density and ink that we packed in!

How about some info then. Page of contents type stuff. Breakdown or prestige classes.

I passed out enough copies for a good sampling of EN boarders' opinions. I hope reviews are on the way!

Eighteen Feats, Fighting Styles, Dwarven Runes, Skills, Dwarven Craftsmanship, eleven prestige classes, Dwarven roleplaying.

You must have gotten the book with the bonus prestige class. :) I think there should be 10-- one for each fighter multiclass (fighter-bard, fighter-barbarian, fighter-cleric, etc.)

If you're playing a dwarf, and you are not overlooking your favored class of fighter (and you better not be!), then you will find a PrC here to fit you!

(Thanks for the praise, by the way!)

I'm just sorry that I was too embarassed to ask Ben for his autograph at the Chi-Town gameday. Oh well.

I'm sure it was my imposing dwarven physique that scared you off. If it's any consolation, I wouldn't have had anything witty to say anyway. ;)

I'll probably get Hammer and Helm, and I know I'll use Heroes of High Favor: Dwarves, since I already am. I'll likely skip Mongoose's book.

Hmmm. I haven't checked the full credits for that one yet. Here's my theory.

In the English alphabet, C comes before R.
