Which Edition?

Well, if I could choose freely I'd start with 4E, immediately.

However, circumstances don't allow it, currently. There's a 3E campaign I have to finish first and the 4E rules will have to be translated into German first AND most importantly: I'll have to convince (read: brainwash) my potential players first that they really want to play 4E...

Either 3.5 or Pathfinder If (and it's a big if) we're playing a D&D or fantasy game.

Traveller (Classic or Mongoose flavour), D20 Modern/Future, Trail of Cthulhu, and Primetime Adventures are all also in the frame for a run out some time soon - and at the moment we're playing Mage.

The one thing I'm pretty sure on is that 4e isn't an option that anybody round the table is presently considering.

We were playing SW Saga last month and this month; starting tomorrow we're playing 4e; I don't know for sure what we'll be doing in 3 months, but it'll probably be 4e.

I really don't know. Right now, I'm working on a 1E campaign for my wife and brother (and hopefully we can find a few others to fill in the party), but for the long term, I'll buy the core 4E books and Pathfinder to evaluate. I'm pretty happy with 3.5E, so 4E will have to blow me away to make me change, but I'm keeping an open mind.

I'm not sure I distinguish strongly between 3.5 and Pathfinder. But I went with 3.5; I'll probably keep playing 3.5 and take whatever bits from Pathfinder and 4e that I find useful.

Same for me. Base of 3.5 and then mine Pathfinder and 4E for the best ideas. Then mix in large dollops of BoXM 1&2.

I didn't answer the poll as it was a little more complex with my group. We're actually excited about 4th edition and most of us plan on picking up the books and running a campaign with them.

However, we still want to finish up our 3.5 campaign. We started it when everybody was 1st level and now they're about 13th level. The group is right in the middle of a pretty serious adventure. However, a couple of our players are college students so the 3.5 game is on hiatus until one of the players gets back in August.

In the meantime, the rest of our group is going to play some one-shot 4th edition games along with a possible Star Wars or Mutant & Masterminds game or two.

Eventually, we'll probably switch over to 4th edition full-time (with an occasional one-shot game of something else).
