See the thread title; which eras or events in the history of Eberron's world are you most interested in exploring or learning more about?

Edit: I missed the checkbox to allow multiple answers, apparently, so this is now a "which one are you most interested in learning more about" poll.

I strongly considered the War of the Mark because I'm tinkering with some aberrant mark scenarios for a future Eberron campaign, but the Last War is just too interesting and relevant to not vote for it.

I voted for Galifarian Wars of Unification. Considering the Galifarian Empire lasted for near a millennium, I've always thought that the idea of Galifarian as an identity for characters is underrepresented. I mean, a lot of older half-elves and middle-aged elves and dwarves were born under a united Galifar.

I think there's plenty to explore in the current timeline.

That said, in the spirit of the poll, I'd go in this order:
1) War of the Mark
2) Galifarian Unification
3) The Last War

It's pretty tight between those three, though.

I can agree that Eberron ‘s current “present” is a very exciting and interesting time to play in; I mean it was chosen to be the present for a reason after all. But I was just curious what other eras of play folks might be interested in exploring more of.

Sure.

I'd go 1) Quori Invasion 2) Xoriat Invasion 3) Dark Elf Rebellion in Xen'Drik

I feel ok suggesting that last one since there's o oy one choice allowed in the poll anyway and the other two are on the list.

Come to think of it "The Last War" could be interesting too.

The world is designed to make the present day the most interesting, and much of that greatness is based upon the mysteries of the past. That is why they did not advance the timeline. A book that explored the past would ruin a lot of that ... they had to be careful when crafting the book on the Last War not to ruin the mysteries. Enjoy the setting for what it is...

Torn between "War of the Mark" and "Galifar Unification," not necessarily the war of unification but of the time when there was a singular Galifar. These two eras are probably most critical for understanding the current state of things even more so than the Last War, as the Galifar Empire actually would provide insight into why the Last War was such a big deal. We have a lot of information about the Last War and its ripples, but I would be more interested in seeing how the world of Khorvaire was. And considering how the power of the Dragonmarked Houses exploded during the times of the Last War, it would be interesting to see their relative state of being during the time of Galifar. That is also why I am fascinated by the "War of the Mark." It presents such a different time before the rules of Galifar were imposed on them, though they still had a since of House.
