Yes I know, another Poll, but hopefully it may lead to some interesting posts..

Which movie would sum up your Gameing style, this is mainly pointed at DM's and thier campaigns, but for players it could point to how they like to roleplay thier characters....

I voted Conan and others... 13th Warrior is kind of like our Gaming style.

Conan because combat and roleplaying (aka interaction ) is fast and furious.... or should I say barbaric... were pretty weak on rping

13th warrior because of the few against many theme... many groups had Besieged style fights... and all the players want to be "cool" like those vikings... :)

After seeing Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, I think/hope that the campaigns I run have the same feel and a similar pace, in either an occidental or oriental setting. There are many more fantasy elements involved, but the general flavor is close.

While I know that my PCs (see the Story Hour) would like to be great hinder-kicking heros, I'm afraid that the feel is something closer to Jack Burton in Big Trouble in Little China...lots of smartaleck attitude, and sometimes they can even back it up, but usually they get beat on a lot.

Vore: Dark Crystal / Conan / Labyrinth

My game (currently) is a Dark Crystal / Conan / Labyrinth mixed bag of elements with several other movies that could be used to provide tone and such... think "Excalibur" meets "Flash Gordon" meets "The Blue and the Grey" meets "Roots" I suppose...

edit: oh, and a light seasoning of "Hawk: The Slayer" has been added for some extra kick... :)

My game has strong elements of Conan (for the sword-play), Xena/Hercules (for the humour - yes it is THAT bad ;) ) and a little 13th Warrior & Big Trouble in little China mixed in (for fighting against overwhelming odds, always with the attitude that they will win, and then winning  )

I swear if these guys met Orcus and had only a toothpick for a weapon they'd attack (and probably STILL win)

I didn't vote as I'm ashamed to admit I've seen only 4 of these...

oh, oh! Let me guess which ones!!

ummmmmm

Krull, Xena/Hercules, Dungeons & Dragons and Labrynith?

Ugh! that is one ugly mix of fantasy! :D
