Which movies released on DVD deserve special editions?

In the Must-Have DVDs thread, phrases like "special edition", "collector's edition", and "Criteron Collection" are being thrown around a lot. A lot of movies nowadays are released on DVD in two versions: A basic version (which usually contains little more than the movie itself) and a deluxe version (which usually includes loads of special features, and may even include deleted scenes added back into the film). The deluxe versions are usually labeled as Special Edition, or Collector's Edition, or Extended Edition, etc.

This thread is for movies that have been released on DVD in basic version only. Which movies do you feel deserve the special edition treatment?

My pick is The 13th Warrior. This is one of my favorite movies that's been released in the last five years, and I've watched it over and over again since I got it on DVD. Unfortunately, the 13th Warrior DVD is very bare-bones, and includes no special features other than the theatrical trailer. I want to see a 13th Warrior DVD that includes a commentary track, a making-of special, and deleted scenes.

I'd say any movie that was released as a flipper. You know, stuff like Good Fellas or Sleepers. It's silly that in the year 2004 I have to actually get up and change the disk.

I would also say that Dumb & Dumber needs a special edition DVD. It's probably my favorite comedy from the 1990s, and it still makes me laugh every time I watch it.

I would probably say Interview with the Vampire. It was one of the earliest great vampire flicks and is deserving of a special edition IMHO.

Kill Bill Vols. 1 & 2 together as one film.

I can't wait to see the House of Blue Leaves sequence in color.

Godzilla

I'd love to see decent special editions for the Japanese Godzilla films released here in the States.

Likewise, I'd love to see decent editions (with AT THE VERY LEAST subtitled original Cantonese language tracks) of Fist of Legend, Tai Chi Master, Bodyguard from Beijing, and all of the other Hong Kong flicks that Disney has released through Dimension Films.

One of my favorite films, The Iron Giant, is coming out in a 2-disc special edition this coming September.

Oh, yeah. I'd like an extended, unrated version of this film. While the original theatrical version is good enough as it is, there are some juicy stuff from the Michael Crichton book that deserved to be shot, print, and edited into the film.

My personal choice: Galaxy Quest (with Tim Allen) and Blade.
