Expanded Psionics Handbook: Maybe. I want to, but I've used the 3.0 regular PsiHB a total of...never.

D&D Map Folio I: Nah. With all the free maps online and my own imagination, I don't think I need WOTC to print them out for me. If they were poster-sized batlemaps, maybe, but even then they'd have to be numerous and generically useful.

Complete Divine: Maybe. I still haven't picked up CW yet.

Eberron Campaign Setting: Maybe. I'll definitely give it a look, but it'll have to really catch my eye for me to pick it up.

Planar Handbook: Depends on how much of a rewrite of MotP this is.

Races of Stone: Probably not, unless it's spectacular. I've got Hammer & Helm and HoHF: Dwarves, to fulfill my needs for short bearded men.

D&D Map Folio II: See Map Folio I

D&D Basic Set: No. Don't need it.

Monster Manual III: Probably. Monster books are always good.

Frostburn : Probably not.

Eberron Whispers of the Vampire's Blade: Probably not, unless the main book really jumps out at me.

Special Edition Player's Handbook: Probably not - I'll take the cash and spend it on more books instead.

Libris Mortis The Book of Undead: This is looking reasonably likely - even if there's a glut of necromancy products, most of them are 3.0 and a bit dated now.

Shining South: Haven't bought any of the other FRCS stuff, what does that tell you?

Complete Arcane: See Complete Divine.

Sharn : City of Towers: See Vampire's Blade.

Races of the Wild: See Races of Stone.

Map Folio 3-D: See Map Folio I.

Well, now that that's out of the way...how about 3rd party? One of the companies I always look forward to is Green Ronin, so I'll be definitely giving their Advanced manuals a look, as well as their Trojan War game and the M&M Annual. And...oh yes...The Black Company. I'm very glad this license went to them, I think they'll do it justice. My only problem with the GR schedule is that none of these products have the word 'Freeport' in the title. ;)

Malhavoc also tops my list, with Beyond Countless Doorways and Mystic Secrets (for Arcana Unearthed) - and I'm sure they'll have more stuff by this fall.

... exceptions to the above ... I will bump up a catagory to any book that's OGL

My choices are pretty simple. We run a traditional fantasy game with a homebrew setting. Plus, I limit myself to $40/month to keep from going crazy and dropping $200.

Expanded Psionics Handbook: Probably Not (Never used psionics)
D&D Map Folio I: Probably Not (Don't need many maps; I make my own. If it was compatible with miniatures, kick this up to Maybe)
Complete Divine: Probably Not (I like other company's splat books better)
Eberron Campaign Setting: No (I don't need another campaign setting, plus it just doesn't appeal to me)
Planar Handbook: Maybe (I like planar stuff, but I'd have to look at it first since Malhavoc has a planar book coming out too)
Races of Stone: Probably Not (Don't need it)
D&D Map Folio II: Probably Not (Don't need many maps; I make my own. If it was compatible with miniatures, kick this up to Maybe)
D&D Basic Set: No (I don't need to go back to basics)
Monster Manual III: Probably (Can never have too many monsters)
Frostburn : Maybe (Never heard of it)
Eberron Whispers of the Vampire's Blade: No (Eberron doesn't appeal to me)
Special Edition Player's Handbook: Probably Not (Does Greedo shoot first in this one too?)
Libris Mortis The Book of Undead: Probably (loved the Draconomicon, and I love using undead)
Shining South: Maybe (I like that area of FR, but I'm not currently using FR)
Complete Arcane: Probably Not (I like other company's splat books better)
Sharn : City of Towers: No (Eberron doesn't appeal to me)
Races of the Wild: Probably Not (Don't need it)
Map Folio 3-D: Maybe (sounds cool, but I'd need to see it first)

I agree with drnuncheon about the 3rd party stuff. I love Malhavoc's products.

In short, I am tired of "fringe supporting" FR, and the RIFTS style of PGTF has only helped cement that decision. Eberron is a "remains to be seen" for me.

Curiously, the general consensus (so far!) seems to be that the map folios aren't going to be too popular. Why do you think that is - why are you not going to (or are going to!) buy them?

As I understand it, the maps are those that have been released on the WotC site over the years. Is that correct? I've never used them (though that's not to say I won't), generally because thay're mostly too simple and don't fit the needs of my campaign and I can generate the maps I need easily enough.

Also, what is Frostburn? Can't say I've heard of it.
