Which of these sterotypical PCs have appeared the most in your campaigns?

The Gruff Dwarven Fighter: Seen him around one too many times.
The Brooding Loner: Played him one too many times.
The Nimble Elven Archer: Of course
The Kleptomanical Halfling Thief: I've heard stories, never lived them.

Aenilaen (Angel, Angela) Sorne. Female High elf. Ranger (Archer). 18 str, 16 dex, the rest 10's.

most of her family are spell-casters, she's the only brick. And she's the first born daughter of an elvish duke (if such exist). Poor kid.... Can you imagine what her parents thought when she decided to become a Ranger? :D

A female elf with 18 strength?

Man, now I'm gonna have the image of an elf woman with an Arnold Shwarznegger-like physique stuck in my head. :D

lol. naaa. she's not arnod shwartzenegger. i mean elf=delicate bones. yesh.. :D
actually, she looks fairly normal, at least for a 6ft tall female elf. her parents are always teasing each other of having outsider heritage or other less savory things when she's around.

*shakes head dramatically. pooor, poor, pointy-eared kid. :p
when she came of age, she leapt for the door. :D

The Gruff Dwarven Fighter Yup in our 1st 3e game no less, Into The Underdark. If you leave out the armor I played a Brooding Loner Gruff Dwarven Monk. No cape but I wore a mask and used kewl spikey-chain! :P

The Conan-wannabe Womanizing Barbarian Just the opposite actually. She was a Mananizing (is that even a word!?!) Elven Barabarian Sexpot, that actually wound up with the Crazy Guy With Knives Halfing Rogue/Everything. Crazy.

The Brooding Loner Atleast one in every campiagn. Not that they are advertised that way, but they are still there. Actually had a party of 'em in the Planescape game we did. Gruff Dwarven Brooding Loner Monk with spike chain, Brooding Halfling take one level of every class Loner Crazy Guy With Knives, Brooding Loner Halfling Dex Munchie Archer, Brooding Loner Tiefling Rogue Crazy Guy With Blowgun and Knives, and the Sexpot Barbarian Wench ended up a Brooding Loner 'cause her boyfriend was a Crazy Guy Brooding Loner With Knives.
Crazy.

The Good-Aligned Drow Never. Our Drow always come with 30% more evil per package.

The Dumb Half-Orc Never. Never even seen a 1/2 Orc in any games. I'll have to play one now.

The Nimble Elven Archer Nope. But Nimble Elven Duellist, oh yeah. I play em. Did have a Nimble Halfling (Tallfellow) Archer Brooding Guy. Does he count?

The Self-Righteous Paladin Nope. I have seen the Wacked Out Fanatic Paladin though, as above but never bothers to cast Detect Evil or talk about Truth, Justice, or the Apple-Pie Way, as such he manages to live for the entire campaign. I blame it on him getting in the first shot instead of wasting time with Detect Evil. "Does my 'Smite Evil' go off? Then he was indeed Evil." Crazy.

The Kleptomanical Halfling Thief Not anymore, but I played one for far to many years, and in Ravenloft to boot. Never did manage to get above 5th level for very long...

The Tinkering Gnome Every Gnome in any Dragonlance game. Same guy, every game. Every Ravenloft game too, same guy.

New Archetypes:

Sultry Sexpot Warrior See above Barbarian line...

Flippantly Cynical Yet Whitty Charismatic Rogue Every rogue I have ever played, including the Elven Duellist, and the Wacky Kender Sidekick. Wacky.

Fireball Jock/The Burninating Wizard Yup. Almost every game. Sometimes ours are Divine Flamestrike Jock/Burninating Clerics. Same principal, but they wear Plate armor and hit people with heavy blunt things like maces, hammers, and small nation states.

My addition:

Crazy Guy With Knives Whether they started out crazy, or slowly slid into madness, it seems those guys with knives all end up going down the same twisty road. We don't know what it is about small sharp objects but they drive characters to murder, theft, pillaging, burning, and usually assasinations. We would outlaw all knives, daggers, stillettos and switchblades, but the voices in our head say it would be unwise.

TTFN

EvilE

All of them. Even Crazy Knife Guy. In the same campaign. Almost all from the same player. I swear he had a new character every session.

I have been guilty of a fondness for Tinkering characters but in my defense they are not always Gnomes.

I've got the Neutral, Pragmatic Drow Fighter Duel Wielding Rapiers in one game. Not a cliche mind you, but a slighlty altered one.

Gruff Dwarven Fighter. Seen it, loved it, still like it.

Surprisingly, I haven't actually seen many of these...

The Abstracted Monster: When in town, or really any given social situation, this Troll / Barbazu / Awakened Half Celestial Gelatinous Cube completely forgets the fact that it's the sort of thing that people run in gibbering terror from. But once in the field - hoo boy, out come the neat-o monster powers!

Damn you, Savage Species, damn you.

ARGH! Check, CHECK, CHECK!

I know someone who can't play anything BUT these! Lessee, what were his last characters - a centaur who munched mounted combat cause he'd always be a horse, a werebear monk, a windrider with a wyvern (not strictly a monster, but near enough) and a wizard who ALWAYS turned into a hag at the first opportunity for the natural armour bonus...
