Which race do you HATE to play?

I hate gnomes.
Every time I read about them the image of steam-punk and steam-tech comes to mind. I don't mind dwarves, because they have culture, a meaningful existence and something to give to the world besides bad air and bright explosions.

I just can't get past Mount Nevermind.

I'm easy. I don't even dislike any of the listed races (let alone hate them), and I can come up with a bunch of different character concepts for all of them that I would enjoy myself playing.

I hate both Gnomes and Halflings with a passion. But if I had to choose just one it would be the Halflings. Neither have any place in my homebrew, and no amount of magic will change that.

I would have said half-orcs (quite weak because they're supposed to be a "race that's easy to play" and I generally don't like orcs - brutish, nasty things), but I feel compelled to say dwarves. Not only because I feel it's my responsibility as a dwarf-basher (will those dwarf-fanboys ever grow out of it ? ;-)) but also because most players who played dwarf chose that race in order to have an excuse to play an ***hole (OK, it might be worth to say that I played with some idiots, but the damage is done). I think I'll have to play a dwarf and show them how it's done.

BTW: Surprising result so far. I'd have thought that the elf-bashers would take the opportunity to bash them some more, but to my surprise it's gnomes as clear "leader" of the field. Far behind halflings and then half-elves. Only then elves.

Heh. I saw the topic and just knew gnomes were going to be the most hated. Hardly anyone wants their PC to be a gnome. And the people who do want to play a gnome, well...they tend to be a little odd in other ways, too. And their descriptions of their gnome characters don't really sell the race to anyone else, either.


...and which race did I vote against, you ask?

The gnomes, of course.
