Honestly a pretty darn good game.
Speaking as a longtime Pats fan (lesser Seahawks and Eagles, I also lived those places), it was disappointing to see Maye and his offensive line unable to step up and make plays, but Christian Gonzalez and a few of the other defensive players kept the game close and exciting despite Seattle's even MORE monster defense. If Gonzalez or one of the others had gotten a pick six out of one of several opportunities it could have been a much closer game. I really enjoyed the defensive battle, but Darnold just kept dodging sacks, and Maye just kept taking them. The Pats defense needed to score and they just couldn't quite get there.
I have my issues with the NFL keeping me from watching most of the time, but the regular Pats fans I was with were happy with the defense, glad NE finally got some points on the board, and optimistic with how Maye has the chance to develop after this.
Wearing my little Seahawk fan hat, I'd be overjoyed with that defense, and happy with how Darnold and his O line and special teams were able to just keep chipping away against a strong defense, doing was was needed to get the win. Kenneth Walker III is also a monster (especially for 5' 9"). Total stud.
The halftime show was mostly not my style of music, but was still danceable, and was a joyful and wholesome spectacle. Honestly I think the theme and messages of it were up there in terms of relevance and importance with U2's halftime show (the powerful 9/11 tribute). Others I might prefer musically, but in terms of unity and the best of American values, this was up there at those heights.
