This is exactly my shopping list. Good calls, all around, I say!

Since I just went through the same process, I'll tell you what I did.

I pre-ordered CoC d20, and I'm waiting for the other two to show up in my FLGS. But, I will have them all...

I'm going with CoC. I'm not big into super hero games or modern spy games.

However, I think the next Campaign my current group is going to play will be Spycraft. I was hoping for Thieves World.....

Well, it really depends on what you are interested in.

For me, my need for CoC isn't that pressing. My group would be more than happy to play the original version, and if I did get it, it would be for use as a Lovecraftian monsters supplement.

Spycraft, however, opens some possibilities. Personally, I'd go for Spycraft.

I could not decide for myself

Well I will end up with at least Spycraft and CoC. I am not familar with Godlike, though if it is realy good it will find away in to my collection. (I am a RPG whore 8*)

But what did I get today? Spycraft.
Why? It was the only one that was available.

The Wizards store sold out, and the local Indy shop did not have copies yet of CoC.

SC & CoC

I've gotten Spycraft and CoC already. I won't touch Godlike since its not really d20 anyway (just some weird cobbled together "OGL" stuff). Plus I can't stand that black&white digitized-photo art.

I really don't associate the word "hyper" with WWII. It always seemed more of a 60s/70s type word. Godlikes got hyperthis and hyperthat.

Aaron (picky about WWII stuff)

Prior to this thread, I had never heard of Godlike.

I went and checked out the website, and wow, how interesting. It's basically Golden Age comics come alive. Very cool.

Down side I first noticed, however, was that it was a "d20 system conversion guide", which means it will NOT be a pretty, smooth d20 game, just a non-d20 game crammed into the d20 system. This was highlighted by the description of "dice pools" where you are looking for dice with the same number on them...that sounds very far from the d20 system.

Has anyone played the d20 version? Does it work better than I suspect?

I have read that the D20 stuff is not bad. But the rules for the game its self are really cool. go to

www.godlikerpg.com

and you can download a 30 page primer on the rules. also they have an adventure and some pre-gens so you can run it.

I like the idea and the system that I read about sounds cool. I have yet to read a bad review. But if you only buy it for D20 stuff I suspect you should skip it.

Note I have only read reviews and what is on their website.
